Shelter Drawings-Henry Moore 1898-1986

Henry Moore's studio was bombed out early in World War II, so he started to do drawings of the people seeking shelter from London bombings in the Underground stations.

They are done in paint, ink and wax resist.

A contemporary of my fathers, born the same year, died the same year. I remember growing up knowing her work...so my father must have known her. The art community was small then. Wish he was still around, I have so much to ask him.
